About Us

City College Magnet School of the Arts (CCMSA) is a 6-12 early college school. With the City College of New York and the Early College Initiative, our primary partners, we have designed a learning community that is supportive and safe, as well as rigorous and challenging. CCMSA students graduate with as much as two years of college credit. The arts are the conduit through which students develop the skills to become problem-solvers, critical thinkers and analytical learners. CCMSA is committed to ensuring that our students succeed not only in college but as valued members of their families and community.

Full Court Conversations, Episode 1: "If You Don't Have Haters, You're Not Doing It Right"

In this high-octane debut episode of Full Court Conversations, hosts Whitney and Marcos take us back to where it all began in Washington Heights. The duo traces their journey from middle school teammates to high school standouts, sharing "above" takes on what it really takes to go from being "whack" to dropping 25-point bombs. It’s not just about the offense, though; the guys dive deep into why defense is the secret sauce coaches crave and why the Lakers are currently lacking it. Between venting about FanDuel parlays gone wrong and debating if SGA is a "foul-baiter," the conversation heats up as they rank this year's rookie class—featuring the VJ Edgecom vs. Cooper Flagg debate.

Screams on Screen, Episode 1: Why We’re Never Going to a Birthday Party in the Woods Again

In this debut episode of Screams on Screens, your hosts Citlalic, Isabella, Kelly, and Margie dive headfirst into the internet urban legends that kept us up at night. We’re breaking down the chilling true story behind the Slender Man stabbing and debating the physical logistics of a 6-7 foot faceless man in a suit. The conversation gets personal as we pivot to the Momo craze of 2018 and share our own "basement traumas," including how our siblings used these creepy pastas to terrorize us. From feet-grabbing under the bed to a genius (if slightly mean) shower prank involving a Halloween mask and a ruler, we’re exploring why we love to be scared and why we’re definitely skipping the next birthday party in the woods.
